University of Georgia senior Taylor Donohue earned a spot on the 12th annual women’s soccer SEC Community Service team, announced by the conference in January.
During her four years in Athens, Donohue has worked with numerous organizations on campus and in the community. The Lawrenceville, Georgia, native volunteers at Athens Church, where she reads to children. She brings meals to the Women’s Shelter of Athens and volunteers on Wednesdays. Additionally, Donohue volunteers at the Athens Co-op at least once a month to bring meals to those in need throughout Northeast Georgia.
Donohue, a psychology major, with a minor in public health, is a Johnson and Johnson Brand Ambassador at UGA. As Brand Ambassador, she promotes Johnson and Johnson’s “Donate a Photo” app, where individuals can submit a photo to donate one dollar of J&J’s money to the charity of their choice.
Known as “TD” on the team, Donohue enjoys “paying it back.” In the restaurant drive thru, she tends to pay for the order of the person behind her. Donohue is also passionate about spreading the word of God and went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic in the spring of 2015. She has chosen a major that allows her to serve others and hopes to continue to bring joy to those around her.
