Courtney O’Malley is the goalkeeper for the 99G Premier team; she has been with this team since U8. Coach Mo Gonda says Courtney is a true leader by example in the work she puts in every day at the fields both in team practice and in goalkeeper training. She is extremely athletic and covers the goal very well. She comes up with big-time saves when her team needs them the most. In addition, she kept a clean sheet at last year’s State Cup run. “With the level that we compete on game day, there are times when the team is under great pressure during a game,” says Coach Gonda. “Courtney makes unbelievable saves at key times to keep us in games. Those big-time saves help to set an example to the rest of the team that we have the ability to win the game.”
