JOSI GREENE JOSI GREENE HAS BEEN PLAYING SOCCER FOR 10 YEARS, SINCE she was three years old. Coach Malang Jarju says that even at her young age, Josi has the ability to affect the final outcome of a game. “When she steps onto the field, she puts it on herself to make a difference,” he says. The team knows something about success — The 01 Lady Wolves finished as runner-up in the President’s Cup at College Station, Texas, in 2016. Jarju says the center midfielder has a strong commitment to improve. “She is humble. She is always asking me for help and advice.” The daughter of Mark and Bethany Greene encourages teammates to play well and train hard, and isn’t shy with compliments. Jarju says her time playing has given her technical skills and abilities that make her a particularly valuable asset. “Her dribbling and shooting skills put her above her age group.” Josi is also a member of the 2003 girls TN ODP team as a center back. It isn’t only Josi’s athleticism that is impressive. “Even if you have all the talent in the world, if you don’t have the right attitude you will have a short-lived career in soccer. Josi has a strong moral character and she leads by example,” says her coach. Jarju summed up Josi’s impact this way: “In my opinion, Josi is ready for the next level of soccer and she has the right attitude to succeed.”
