Ansley Warner Fairhope Soccer Club There aren’t many players who can communicate on the pitch with precision and quality, but Coach Ali LeBlanc says it’s one of Ansley Warner’s best traits. Ansley, 11, is an outside midfielder or forward, an educated player for someone with only a few club years under her belt. “Her ability to assess on-field situations is impressive,” LeBlanc says. “During halftime at one match, she reported to the coaches on the weak spots of the defense and returned to her position with a plan of attack — which is quite telling of her style of play.” Ansley is an offense-minded player who loves to shoot. “She uses her technical skill, speed, and a rocket of a shot to make defenders think twice before stepping in front a second time,” her coach says. She helps players who are struggling, and applauds those having a great game. “This season, Ansley naturally fell into the leadership role. Her teammates look up to her not only on the pitch, but during practice and gatherings,” LeBlanc says. Ansley has been playing since before she can remember. Her father, Aaron Warner, a soccer coach, and mother, Amber Warner, a yoga instructor, are a great combination for a successful athlete. Ansley loves USWNT matches and admires Alex Morgan. LeBlanc says, “Her hard work and dedication, as well as her love of the game, will bring her many successes in years to come.”
