The VHSC player spotlight player is Tony Shaw. Tony started playing competitive soccer in GA for the Gwinnet Soccer Association (GSA). Moved to Vestavia and continued his competitive soccer development at VHSC. Which has ultimately led him to be selected for the Olympic Development Region 3 Regional Pool team for the 2002 age group this past summer. His hard work has also seen him receive opportunities at the US Soccer National Training Centers. He is the son of Tony and Melissa Shaw and can attribute his good soccer genes to his dad “Big Tony” College standout at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Tony is currently on the Steamers 02 team and one of two captains for the team, coached by Luke Whittle. We are proud of his hard work and dedication to VHSC.
