While FC Torjäger shies away from too much competition at the early ages, Koch does have a soft spot for his group of U10 boys. The players practice twice a week and learn the game from the well-trained coaching staff. When Koch sees that they’re ready, he enters them in some tournaments and other low-key competitions. This group has won a tournament at the Montgomery YMCA. Koch says the boys have developed a chemistry and a love for the game. “We have a core group of 5 or 6 kids, and I can definitely tell they are thriving,” Koch says.
