ethnic backgrounds who have bonded in a way that makes head coach David Cienfuegos proud. “It’s been a pleasure watching them grow,” Cienfuegos says. “I’ve watched them grow up these past four years into young men with a lot of good characteristics.” The team played in Region III in 2014 and 2015, finishing third and ninth respectively, before making the decision to play in the state league in 2016. After a disappointing 2015 season, the team rebounded in 2016, losing in penalty kicks to BUSA in the championship game at the Alabama State Cup. “The fact that we turned the season around within a matter of 12 months is a testament to their maturity,” Cienfuegos says. “They believed in themselves, supported each other, and had a great year.
