ANNA HADDOCK WHEN COACHES DESCRIBE TSC 2001 GIRLS SHOWCASE TEAM MEMBER ANNA Haddock, “tenacity” and “gifted” are among the glowing words to describe just what this attacking midfielder means to her team. Dean Blaine, director of ECNL program, says, “Anna is a very technically gifted player; comfortable on the ball with great vision and excellent range of passing. I feel her best attribute is her ability to see and execute creative passes.” Coach Ronnie Woodard concurs. “She is a true box-to-box midfielder. She has an incredibly high work rate, a true competitive spirit, and a passion for winning. Not only is she a great player, she is also a tremendous leader. She has the innate ability to lead. She has a strong positive voice that is followed by her tenacious play on the field. She approaches every training session with the same intensity as she does a match.” Blaine says “I feel she is a hard worker for the team when not in possession, and leads more by example of performance than in voice. She is one of those players who can make something positive happen in a game in a split second.” She possesses a calm manner, Blaine says, “and it is a pleasure to watch her play as she glides through games with seemingly little effort; never rattled under pressure and always looks to play and be positive when in and out of possession.
