BURSTING ON THE SCENE IN 2012, THE TENNESSEE SOCCER CLUB (TSC) has quickly become one of the most successful clubs in the Volunteer state, and beyond. Established from a merger of two Nashville-based clubs — TNC and Brentwood — TSC is becoming well-known as an elite club where players are given the quality coaching and resources to take their game as far as they can. TSC Executive Director Stuart Brown says the decision the two clubs made to combine forces was one that benefitted not only the players but the community and state’s soccer reputation as well. “Over the last 5 years, it’s proven to be the right decision not only to bring STUART BROWN soccer minds together but to bring players of like skills together from what could Executive Director have been divided teams based on geography or skill level,” says Brown. “So we USSF A License have a more united front, not only in the community but on soccer development, NSCAA Premier Diploma coaching development, and resources.” Level 2 GK TSC is currently home to more than 1,500 players competing on teams that NSCAA Director of Coaching have been extremely successful on the state, regional and national level. Since TYPES OF PROGRAMS OFFERED the 2012-13 cycle, TSC teams have won 30 state championships, multiple Competitive regional titles, and its first national championship in 2016. TSC is a Nike Premier Club, priding itself as the only ECNL boys and girls club beginning play in August ADDRESS 2017. “The ECNL will allow TSC a better opportunity to be exposed to the best 509 New Highway 96 West Suite 102-B competition in the country, but also provide our kids with exposure to the national PHONE: 615-393-9014 team, professional, and collegiate recruiting environments,” says Brown. WEBSITE: www.tennesseesoccerclub.org Since 2012, TSC has placed over 300 players into the collegiate ranks, with 40 players alone from the class of 2017 signing letters of intent to play college soccer at all levels of the NCAA and NAIA. In addition, TSC currently has two players participating with U.S. National Teams and recently had three players called up for regional teams and participating in Region III trips to Costa Rica. The club also boasts 72 coaches with an impressive number holding A licenses and other advanced coaching certifications. The club also pulls players from all over the middle Tennessee, from rural, sparsely populated communities, to the inner cities, and from a myriad of nationalities and backgrounds — all of which has helped make TSC one of the most successful and well-known clubs in the Southeast. “Tennessee Soccer Club has become a name among the soccer community across the country that people know,” Brown says. “That’s because of all the hard work our players have put in and the combination of all of the resources from both clubs after the merger.”
