starting his soccer career with the younger age groups and now featuring in the Junior League. Jacob also referees younger age groups now, deepening his commitment to the club. His father Mike Bransdorf said, “I have coached Jacob since he started, he played academy soccer for two years, until an injury made him decide to go back to Recreational soccer. It has been an amazing time watching Jacob grow in the game, and watch him grow to love soccer. Jacob has always been very competitive and being able to coach him and be apart of that has been incredible. Watching Jacob become a referee and give back to the game was a proud moment. It is always special when we work a game together, Jacob takes refereeing just as serious as he does playing soccer, and for a father, and fellow referee, I am so proud of my son.” As Mike mentioned, Jacob is also a referee at Bluesprings, deepening his love for the club. Mike said, “Jacob has been playing at Bluesprings since he could start soccer at age 3. It has always held a special place in Jacob even when we moved to Lilburn and he had the chance to play at another club. Jacob chose to stay at Bluesprings. The staff at Bluesprings has always cared about the players, and have worked hard to make the soccer experience fun and competitive. Soccer has always been an important part of the Bransdorf family. Mike said, “I have been playing since I was 3 years old, I was an avid Seattle Sounders fan and now I am a founding member of Atlanta United and season ticket holder, which is great as we love to go to the games. My daughter played soccer from 3 until 18 and now plays intramurals in college. My entire family, from my sisters and brothers to my parents have played and coached. My dad and mom were my coaches when I was younger before I moved on to travel soccer. We are a soccer family and are the typical crazy soccer fanatics.”
