SOME OF THE BOYS ON THE 00B PREMIER HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE THEY were 7 years old, but there have been consistent additions to the team throughout the years. The team finished third in the Tennessee D1 State Cup as U13s, won the D1 league last year, and finished second in the league this season. FC Dallas Tri focuses its attention on player development by connecting the teams with a common curriculum and encouraging player movement and training opportunities within the club. Coach Matt Lavinder says, “As a club, we’ve focused on technical development with this group from the youngest ages and we’re technically strong. Having a smaller player pool than most D1 clubs, I think this technical focus has allowed us to compete at the highest level in the state.” In addition to proving themselves in league play, recent successes include the 2016 Asheville Riverside Summer Shootout Champions and 2016 Appalachian Fall Festival Champions.
